METHODOLOGICAL FEATURE: Gramática práctica del español actual (A Practical Grammar of Current Spanish) is the first work that synthesises the practical and descriptive aspects of our language on the basis of reliable samples taken from the Spanish currently spoken both in Spain and in Spanish America. - With the aid of data taken from the Cumbre corpus and from a labelled sub-corpus, the authors not only back up the grammar presented with real examples of the language as it is used, but also illustrate these uses with numerous graphs, charts and statistics on the frequency with which relevant terms, grammatical categories and numerous morphological-syntactical elements occur, thus being of interest both to students and specialists in the Spanish language. - This work paves the way for a new way of drawing up and presenting grammatical treaties, making them no longer a dry subject, avoiding speculation and turning them into an interesting and motivating medium for those with linguistic curiosity. << Volver
